Kite Festival

I worked this morning on some websites and around 2 Tam called to see if I'd like to go down to Zilker for the Kite Festival. I had never been before, but always had seen the kite carnage in trees the day after. Today, I got to see what it's all about. Tons of people, tons of invisible kite string that could whip by and decapitate you at any time. Beyond that, it was pretty cool. There were HUGE kites. They were being held down with sand bags. I didn't see any of the kites being judged, but I saw lots of little ones. It was a perfect day for kite flying. The wind was whipping around. It was a good time. Also, Scout made her first trip to the big park. She was the belle of the ball. I think 5 people asked to take her picture. They wanted to pet her, know how old she was, let their babies pet her. She soaked it up. She even met another puppy that she was able to wrestle with for 15 minutes. Needless to say, she was exhausted.
