Fast Pitch is My Favorite

Last night was game #2 of my fast pitch season and i'm having a fantastic time. I am doing better than I ever thought I would. I have gone 4 for 5 in my last two games. I'm batting .800! It's fun now because i've only had 5 at bats. We'll see how the rest of the season goes. I also had 2 RBIs last night. The sad news is that my mitt broke last night. One of my friends that showed up to watch the game said "watch that hole in your glove KK" and whether she saw it or not, there was a hole. It isn't bad enough that the ball doesn't stay in the glove, but the string has broken and I think it's time to have it restrung for the 2nd time in it's life. OR, I could get a new glove. I'm thinking both are great options. Always good to have a backup, right?! Maybe at some point I can have someone take some pictures of our games. I'll try to take my camera next week so you can see the pics.

Drafting

I started school on Tuesday. I am taking a technical drafting class. I have a protractor, special drafting pencil, an engineer's scale, some triangles and a drafting table at school. It is the coolest thing EVER! My homework this weekend is "lettering". I have to write the alphabet 3 times in 3 different sizes. It's the special drafting letters. I definitely could do that!

I had fast pitch softball practice this morning and am about to go for a bike ride. It's 97 degrees outside and i'm pretty certain there isn't a cloud in the sky. I don't mind being hot when i'm prepared for it.

Being the Coach

This is what the team got for me for coaching the Swingin' Bats. I LOVE it!!! They went to the pottery place and each put their fingerprint under a bat that was drawn on and their name next to it. Then they signed a softball. The lighting wasn't that great, so bear with this until I get a better one. I love my team...

Internet

I finally have cable and internet at my house! I no longer have to go somewhere to watch my shows. Too bad the seasons are all over! Oh well, there's always the Braves to watch! I don't have any pictures, or updates. Sunday the Swingin' Bats are going to the Round Rock Express game to be recognized, run around the bases and get free gloves. So that'll be fun for them. I just got home from a softball game. I popped up 3 times. I can't hit a ball on the ground to save my life...

Going to shower, watch the Bachelor and hopefully get some sleep.

Explosions of the Natural Kind

Last Tuesday night at my softball game I was on the bleachers getting my shoes on to warm up before my game. As i'm sitting there looking down, tying my shoes I hear the people behind me all moan. I look up and see a large puppy squating 3 feet away from me. At first, I thought "oh great, my bag was peed on, wonderful". Then I looked closer. It wasn't pee, but horribleness that projected out of this dog. The dog was half a foot away from my bag and like a bottle of champagne exploded it's ingredients onto my bag. It. Was. NASTY! I was shocked and speechless. I just sat there looking at it wondering what to do. Christian started to laugh and told me I was being more calm than she would be. Then Carol said "i'm SURE they'll clean it for you!" Loud enough for the guy to hear that was holding the dog's leash. He got up and went to get some towels. I got up to warm up. Trying to figure out what to do. They offered to get me a new bag. They didn't even want to clean it it was so revolting. So I put my stuff in a pile (no pun intended) while I played my game and after the game crammed it all into 3 plastic shopping bags. I looked like a homeless softball player.

So my new nickname, from Christian, "Kpoo"...
